WORKSHOP FACILITATOR
Meet & Teach is a media arts non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and empowering youth through hands-on experiences in the world of media production. We are currently seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our team as Videography Workshop Facilitators. This position will involve working closely with a group of teens and guiding them through a series of hands-on workshops.
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR DESCRIPTION
This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of facilitating media arts workshop sessions with youth. Compensation will be $15hr.
Training Dates:
June 3rd -June 5th
10am - 12:30pm
Workshop Session Dates:
June 10th - July31st
Monday - Wednesday
9:30am - 1:00pm
Workshop sessions will take place in Lehi, Utah.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead a videography workshop for a group of teens, providing instruction and guidance throughout the sessions.

Utilize footage filmed by the participants and assist them with producing final project.

Introduce participants to the fundamentals of videography, video editing, audio recording, lighting, and sound, that includes storytelling principles, and technical aspects.

Instruct participants on the effective use of video editing software, using Final Cut Pro X.

Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among the participants.

Provide constructive feedback and individualized attention to participants, helping them improve their skills and achieve their creative vision.

Maintain a safe and respectful environment, adhering to the organization's policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and creativity.

Proficiency in using Final Cut Pro X for video editing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire young individuals.

Experience leading a group.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver engaging workshop sessions.

Passion for media arts and a desire to empower young individuals through creative expression.

Flexibility and adaptability to work with a diverse group of participants and adjust instruction based on their needs.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
