WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Meet & Teach is a media arts non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and empowering youth through hands-on experiences in the world of media production. We are currently seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our team as Videography Workshop Facilitators. This position will involve working closely with a group of teens and guiding them through a series of hands-on workshops.

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR DESCRIPTION

This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of facilitating media arts workshop sessions with youth. Compensation will be $15hr. 

 

Training Dates:

June 3rd -June 5th

10am - 12:30pm

Workshop Session Dates:

June 10th - July31st

Monday - Wednesday

9:30am - 1:00pm

Workshop sessions will take place in Lehi, Utah

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a videography workshop for a group of teens, providing instruction and guidance throughout the sessions.

  • Utilize footage filmed by the participants and assist them with producing final project.

  • Introduce participants to the fundamentals of  videography, video editing, audio recording, lighting, and sound, that includes storytelling principles, and technical aspects.

  • Instruct participants on the effective use of video editing software, using Final Cut Pro X.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among the participants.

  • Provide constructive feedback and individualized attention to participants, helping them improve their skills and achieve their creative vision.

  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment, adhering to the organization's policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and creativity.

  • Proficiency in using Final Cut Pro X for video editing.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire young individuals.

  • Experience leading a group.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver engaging workshop sessions.

  • Passion for media arts and a desire to empower young individuals through creative expression.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with a diverse group of participants and adjust instruction based on their needs.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
