
SITE SUPERVISOR
We are seeking a natural leader with high-energy to serve as a Site Supervisor for a summer program. Site Supervisors must have strong management and leadership skills who have a passion for media arts.
This position will lead and supervisor a team of 10 college interns, and a minimum of 50 high school students. Site supervisor must be able to support interns to internalize and implement daily lesson plans and complete daily program objectives.
Please note: Site Supervisors will be assigned a high school located in Dolton, IL. Training is required prior to working with students.
All applicants must complete and pass a background check to enter the schools.
SITE SUPERVISOR'S DESCRIPTION
This is a paid 10-week position starting May 2022. Site Supervisors will be expected to be onsite M-F, 4 hours per day.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Site Management (50%)

Serve as primary point of contact and relationship manager for School Leadership Team, students, parents, and key community stakeholders across assigned school site

Support Executive Director with modifying daily lesson plans to fit needs of the program and assigned school site

Support with the safe dismissal of students from program workshops and events

Serve as administrative signatory for program equipment inventory & maintenance

Alongside site School Leadership Team, manage student behavior issues and emergencies as they may arise

Manage collection of student daily attendance, impact data, assessment platforms, and other required paperwork for assigned school site

Supervise interns and ensure proper implementation of procedures, rules, and program expectations

Serve as an adult mentor and trusted resource to students across school sites
Intern Management & Onboarding (40%)

Manage a team of interns; supporting interns to internalize and implement daily lesson plans, collect student forms and data, and inventory program equipment

Support interns to maintain clean and respectful program spaces/classrooms, in alignment with assigned school site standards

Co-lead intern onboarding workshops alongside the Executive Director (ED) and Program Administrator (PA) to ensure interns are prepared to deliver high-quality programming across school site

Provide ongoing workshops and trainings to intern team to improve lesson delivery and administrative processing

Assess intern performance around executing programming, building relationships with students and key stakeholders, and building on the positivity Meet & Teach exemplifies
Additional Responsibilities (10%)

Support the ED in site-level administrative duties and processes, as assigned

Report school site and/or staff issues to the ED urgently and promptly

Attend weekly staff meeting calls

Serve as the role model for a positive culture at school site

Assist with lesson planning
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2-3 years working with youth
-
Previous managerial, supervisory experience, or teaching experience

Media Arts knowledge
-
Effective time management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, particularly in interactions with students, parents, and staff

Strong attention to detail.
